Q: What type of clothes do I need for the competition.

A: In most cases, you may have them in your closet. It is not the most expensive outfit that will win the title, it's the person. You will need the following:

  • Physical Fitness in Swimwear (must be approved by the pageant board, there are a few rules regarding these)
  • Talent Outfit - whatever you feel necessary to perform your talent
  • Evening Wear - This is something you would wear for a formal night out on the town.
  • Interview Outfit - This is can be a suit, dress, blouse and skirt, or pants outfit, whatever you would wear for a job interview. This is your first meeting with the judges so first impressions could be lasting!
  • Opening Number Outfit - This will either be determined for you depending on the theme of the pageant, or it might be something you have at home such as blouses and jeans or black dresses, etc.

Q: What is the Time limit on Talent?

A: 90 Seconds

Q: What kind of commitment do I make if I win the Title?

A: After you become Miss Omaha or Miss Douglas County, you will be required to make some appearances and we will work with you on preparation for the State pageant in June. This should not affect your school in any way, because as you know, the Miss America Organization is a Scholarship Pageant, and we understand the importance of you concentrating on being a student first.

Q: What else is expected of me?

A: You are a representative of this organization so we expect the utmost in respect for the title you hold. You should conduct yourself in a manner befitting Miss America in all aspects of your life in front of the scenes as well as behind. You will have fun, make great friends and grow as a titleholder towards your journey to Miss Nebraska and Miss America and you will have the support of this organization behind you.

Walk Worthy
Walk worthy of the crown ...
Little ears are listening
To every word you say.
Little eyes are watching you
Each and every day.
Little hands are imitating
Actions that you do.
Little hearts are dreaming
To be exactly like you.
Walk worthy of the crown ...
Set an example
In word, in action and deed.
Touch a heart, change a life,
Make a difference.
Walk worthy of the crown.
